5TH GRADE DEDICATIONS
Parents of 5th grade students are invited to purchase a dedication to be included in this year’s yearbook. Dedications are personalized recognition ads that parents create to show pride in their student’s accomplishments.

Yearbook Cover Art Contest
ATTENTION ALL 5th GRADE MUSTANGS — Get your creative juices flowing and enter this year’s cover contest.
DUE: WEDNESDAY JANUARY 8th @ 3:00pm
ALL ENTRIES MUST INCLUDE
The Date: 2024-2025
The words: Marshall Lane Elementary
Relate to the theme: “Our Story Starts Here”
ENTRY GUIDELINES
Any 2D art: illustration or painting
Be on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of white paper
All text must be 1/2" from the edge of the paper
Have a vertical page orientation (portrait format)
Entries need to be turned into your teacher with
the full student name and teacher on the back of the artwork
All original artwork will be submitted to the Yearbook Coordinator
TIPS FOR A GOOD ENTRY
Not a lot of white space - incorporate lots of color even in the background
Use the whole sheet of paper, with text 1/2" from the edge
Use a combination of mediums: crayons, watercolors, markers, etc.
VOLUNTEER
The following positions offer minimal as well as flexible time commitments during the year.
Photographers
Designers (create yearbook pages)
Editors (review yearbook content for consistency)
Marketers (spread the word)
Auditors (review the yearbook for accuracy)
